Fierce Projects: Gentle. Learning. Drawing.
I taught myself to draw recently, first with my face everyday for a month, then with curvy lady bellies and man beards. Then more faces. My best friends. My favorite lady R&B artists. I. Was. Addicted to drawing---in a good way. Eye brows first, eyes, nose, face outline, mouth, smile lines, hair: whoosh! It’s about the emotions, not the pretty. The best ones are when I pay strict attention first and then whip it out quick. I go for a hint of her secrets, her unspoken hopes, her tender dark places, her big winning times to come.
