A: In the Spring of 2011, "Femily" founded it with Hil (Jaeger) and the support of Warren & Baca. Now, a crew of fierce, heart-open assistant community organizers are makin it happen: Christina B, Holly M, Elrod, & Kimlynh...

- FRESH: Femme Cartel is never in the same space twice.
- FRIENDLY: Femme Cartel is always super-friendly (all artists/organizers/vendors/space owners "host" the event and welcome all guests: introduce strangers to each other, amplify the networking, serve as ambassadors for Femme Cartel, the neighborhood and all artists, event spaces, and vendors).
- BREATHE EASY: Since we're all volunteers, we do no more than 2-3 events a year. (Let's plan ahead, together.)
- COMMUNITY: Femme Cartel always gives back to the community: networking with nonprofits, local youth art shows, linking together businesses that haven't worked together before, bringing art into spaces without art, etc...

VENUE: A lofty warehouse in the heart of Oakland Art Murmur. (Classic Cars West.) ARTISTS: 16 visual artists. EATS: 3 local vendors filling you up with sweet jello arts, vegan treats, and Real New York City Italian sausages. GOODS: 4 ladies selling affordable girly/urban jewelry, fashions, & feminist crafts. SOUND: 2 lady DJs, and one budding Hip Hip star, nourishing your spirit with the illllllllest sounds. TURNOUT: 2000+ guests. WINS: Reviewed as the "Best Party at Art Murmur." | FEMME CARTEL #2:
